Deep banding of phosphorus and nitrogen enhances Rosa multiflora growth and nutrient accumulation by improving root spatial distribution

چکیده
Plant roots show morphological plasticity to adapt heterogeneous nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) distribution, but how fertilizer placement affects root growth nutrient uptake of perennial non-herbaceous species (including Rosa multiflora Thunb. ex Murr. that was the subject this study) is not understood. A pot experiment conducted with five N P fertilization rates determine appropriate application rates. Then, a soil column trial (using selected rates) four placements, including applied alone or in combination either 0–15 cm 15–30 layer, NP mixed throughout as control. The results showed 80 mg kg−1 were for trunk expansion multiflora. Deep banding layer increased first-order lateral length density fertilized zone well accumulation compared other treatments after 46 days. After 108 days, treatment, total plant significantly deep decreased rhizosphere pH improved zone; however, similar observed three treatments. These findings indicated stimulated proliferation spatial which can be an effective management strategy optimizing uptake.

Responses of root growth and distribution of maize to nitrogen application patterns under partial root-zone irrigation
A field experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of varying nitrogen (N) supply andirrigation methods on the root growth and distribution of maize (Zea mays L.) in Wuwei, northwest China in 2011 and 2012. The irrigation treatments included alternate furrow irrigation(AI), fixed furrow irrigation (FI) and conventional furrow irrigation (CI). The N supply treatmentsincluded alternate ...

Five known lignans, (+)-pinoresinol (1), (+)-8-hydroxypinoresinol (2), (-)-dehydrodiconiferyl alcohol (3), (+)-trans-dehydrodiconiferyl alcohol (4), and (-)-olivil (5), were isolated from the roots of Rosa multiflora for the first time. Their structures were determined using spectroscopic data.

gy reducing nitrate when NO3-N is the source of available N. Thus, for legumes able to form symbiotic associations with Rh izobium, the pattern of dry matter distribution (DMD) within the plant will differ depending upon its mode of N nutrition. The partitioning of dry matter between root and shoot is a heritable characteristic determined by the genotype of the plant (Andrews, 1939; Shank, 1943...
